About Me
Mabel Elizabeth Singletary received her B.A. degree from Douglass College in New Jersey and earned a Masters Degree in Elementary Education at Rutgers Graduate School of Education. For over twenty-seven she has worked as an elementary school teacher in New Jersey Public Schools.
Mabel believes that children who strongly identify with the characters in the stories they read, will be more likely to develop a desire and interest in reading for pleasure. The Double Dutch Series and the forth coming Also Rans Series offers young readers the opportunity to meet characters they will remember.
Author Mabel Elizabeth Singletary has drawn from her many years of teaching experience to create characters that are memorable and believable.
Get on board and come inside the ropes and meet Nancy, Tanya, Ming, Lindsey, Carla, and Rachel as they prepare to enter the Double Dutch competition of a lifetime.
Mabel currently lives in New Jersey with her husband Charles. They have two children.
She is available for school and library visits as well as "Friendship Workshops".
